It was another decent week for our both teams to score betting tips last time out, with 4/5 selections hitting the spot including a meaty 21/20 call in the Spain vs Portugal match.
It has, on the face of it, been a low-scoring World Cup edition thus far, and with our two ‘Both Teams to Score – No’ picks landing last week, maybe that is the way to go again.

Argentina vs Croatia – Yes (19/20)
For all their legion of attacking talents, Jorge Sampaoli was once again circumspect in his Argentina team selection in the 1-1 draw with Iceland.
He went with a standard 4-2-3-1 formation with Lionel Messi supporting Sergio Aguero, but otherwise it was a fairly rudimentary shape and set-up.
Still, there’s plenty of goals in the squad, with messrs Higuain, Dybala and Banega all available to the manager.
You just feel that the Argentines’ central defensive partnership of Nicolas Otamendi and Marcos Rojo is vulnerable; particularly to the aerial ball. Croatia have an excellent target man in Mario Mandzukic, and don’t be surprised if they contribute to a BTTS contest here.
Belgium vs Tunisia – No (8/13)
Belgium’s back three of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Dedryck Boyata looked wholly accomplished against Panama, and were completely comfortable against a game but limited outfit.
We don’t expect Tunisia to pose them too many questions either. They mustered just one shot on target against England, and their goal was a rather questionable penalty in which you had to feel a bit sorry for Kyle Walker.
Victory here books Belgium’s last 16 place; they won’t be resting on their laurels.
Germany vs Sweden – No (7/10)
It beggared belief just how open Germany played in their Group F opener against Mexico.
Joshua Kimmich, nominally playing at right back, popped up all over the place, but his roaming left Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng hopelessly exposed when Hirving Lozano broke at pace down the flank.
There is no way that Joachim Low will allow that to happen again; ultimately, his carefree tactics cost Germany the game against the Mexicans.
So instead you can expect a more disciplined approach from the holders, and that’s bad news for Sweden’s hopes.
It’s just hard to see where the Swedes’ goals will come from. Marcus Berg and Ola Toivonen is not a front two to fear, and indeed it’s only Seb Larsson’s set pieces that could cause Germany problems.
Colombia vs Poland – Yes (3/4)
Both of these sides lost their opening Group H encounters, and so the onus is on them to win this match – or gain a point at last. That should lead to a certain level of attacking impetus from both here.
Colombia were always likely to struggle against Japan when they were reduced to ten men early in the piece, and while they put up a spirited showing they did taste defeat.
But they looked good going forward, with Juan Quintero impressing alongside Juan Cuadrado and Radamel Falcao. This is a Colombian outfit designed to attack.
Poland were arguably the better side in their defeat to Senegal, and a front two of Robert Lewandowski and Arkadiusz Milik will always ask questions of the opposition.
Real Salt Lake vs San Jose Earthquakes – Yes (4/7)
We’ll take a brief sojourn to the MLS in America for the week’s final pick.
Here we find Real Salt Lake, who have won six of seven on home soil but who come into this one on the back of a 0-3 towelling at the hands of L.A Galaxy.
San Jose may be in a lowly league position, but they have blasted 12 goals away from home in eight starts and their overall tally of 24 goals scored is the sixth best total in the Western Conference.
The Earthquakes’ frontman, Danny Hoesen, has notched seven goals in his last ten appearances, too.
